Micranthemum tweediei 'Monte Carlo', commonly known as just Monte Carlo, is a green foreground plant that revolutionized the aquarium hobby. It originates from Argentina — the cultivar is named after the town of Monte Carlo in Misiones Province, where it was first collected — and it is one of the very few foreground plants that can be kept with no CO2 and low lighting.
